Yes, the weather can affect cable systems, too. The cable systems have amplifiers on poles and son running in all directions. Some electronic temperature worsen over time, cold weather and wind bad links in the system. I have the cable in my house and whenever there was a strong storm. Kind of ironic to make fun of cable systems via satellite. . .

Indeed, better cable signals transmitted much more cold than hot.

They prolly just some bad connections.
